Documental del Movimiento Colombiano Ríos Vivos, sobre el fenómeno del
desplazamiento provocado por la construcción de proyectos
hidroeléctricos en Colombia. A través de diversas testimonios de
personas afectadas y miembros del Movimiento Ríos Vivos Colombia es
posible dimensionar el drama que significa para los afectados y las
afectadas por represas el abandono de sus territorios y sus actividades
tradicionales, que en muchas ocasiones viene acompañado del uso de la
fuerza, la represión y la criminalización.
El río lo ha sido todo para ellos y ellas: alimento, espiritualidad, economía, cultura, territorio, por eso luchan en su defensa organizados en Ríos Vivos, un movimiento que articula los esfuerzos de poblaciones que estàn siendo obligadas a desplazarse y abandonar sus tierras para dar paso al desarrollo.
A documentary from the Colombian Movement Ríos Vivos, about the forced displacement caused by the construction of hydroelectric dams in Colombia. Through firsthand testimonies from impacted peoples and members of the Movement Ríos Vivos Colombia, it is possible to understand the scale and significance of the trauma lived by the dam impacted peoples who are forced to leave their lands and traditional activities, many times through brute force, repression and criminalization.
The river has been everything fr them: food, spirituality, economy, culture, territory and that is why the fight and struggle in the organized defense of Ríos Vivos, a movement that articulates the the efforts of the impacted populations that are being forced into displacement and having to abandon their lands to make way for development.
