Festival Vivo Arte 2007: La Victoria y Arabia

En contraste al los primeros eventos del Festival Vivo Arte los últimos se realizaron en espacio públicos de barrios del sur de la ciudad. El último evento donde participo una Abeja con la charla de Plan Colombia era el evento en el barrio La Victoria en la localidad de San Cristóbal. El evento se realizo en el parqueadero enfrente del Centro Operativo de la localidad. Mientras que el Festival Vivo Arte es organizado por mayor parte del colectivo del mismo nombre, este evento no pudiera ser posible sin la ayuda de coordinación del grupo teatral del barrio, Artífice Inimaginable.s Las y los integrantes de este grupo son unas bacanas que demuestran lo que la juventud puede hacer con pocos recursos pero ricos en creatividad.

Todo el día teníamos el miedo que iba llover y dificultar los planes pero el cielo nos colaboro mucho ese día y nos despejo un poco por la tarde y el Inti pudo calentar la tierra. Comenzamos como a las 11a y el evento siguió hasta por allí las 9 de la noche. En todo el día, se pinto una pared blanco y se rayo entre varias personas que participaron ese día creando un mural con una variedad de imágenes y diseños que reflejaba la diversidad de la resistencia cultural. También entre todxs se preparo un sancocho vegetariano para todo el barrio mientras que se rallaba la pared hubo un cuenta cuentos de Plan Colombia, personas de los grupos Prensa Rural, Revista Sur System y Radio Miseria dieron una discusión de medios de comunicación alternativos y la ultima charla fue parte de uno de los miembros de los Objetores de Consciencia que hablo sobre los efectos de los megaproyectos en el territorio Colombiano. La ultima parte del evento tocaron dos grupos musicales, primero uno de hip-hop que se llamaba Empírico Guerrero y terminando el día un grupo de rock n roll Los Parias.

El último evento del festival ocurrio en la Casa Cultural del barrio Arabia en Ciudad Bolívar. De una, lo único que dura todo el día y fue un éxito sin duda fue la jornada de resistencia de los de Boikot con el estampado para toda la gente que salio con ganas de estampar su ropa. Este evento también participo el mismo cuentero del Jardín Botánico del grupo Señal Viva con un cuento de creación y otras historias de los Embera y del Choco. También se mostró distintos documentales, una presentación de baile tango, dos obras de teatro (uno por Artífice Inimaginable y la otra por el grupo de la Casa Cultural), el grupo de break del barrio, Lateral Break, y varios grupos de hip hop pero en particular Rap Judesco y Masaiban-Go Cultura. Todos los grupos fueron muy buenos pero en particular los dos grupos de teatro y el grupo de break fueron bastante impresionante. El grupo del barrio hizo una obra con el tema de la canción de Amparo Ochoa, Maldición de Malinche y los de Artífice Inimaginable hicieron una obra muy fuerte alrededor de las personas desparecidas, terminando con la canción de Rubén Blades, Desaparecidos. Este día también tuvimos la buena casualidad que fue un día con mucho sol y salieron muchas personas de todo el barrio para participar, especialmente una gran cantidad de chiquitxs que se quedaron hasta tarde para los últimos raperos y estampar su ropa.

In contrast to the first events as part of the Festival Vivo Arte the last events that took place were in public spaces within barrios in the south of the city. The last event that hosted a story telling on Plan Colombia was in the barrio La Victoria in the locality of San Cristóbal. The event was in the parking lot in front of the Operative center of the Locality. While the Festival Vivo Arte is organized mostly by the collective of the same name, this event could not be possible with the help and coordination of the barrios theatre group, Artífice Inimaginable. The folks members in this group are some pretty down folk that show what youth are capable of with lil resources but rich in creativity.

The whole day we worried that it would rain and complicate the plans but the sky collaborated with us and opened up a bit allowing Inti to come out in the afternoon to warm the earth a bit. The event started at about 11a and went on to about 9 at night. In that day, a wall was painted white and amongst various people present that day a graffiti mural was put up with a variety of images and designs that reflected the diversity of cultural resistance. Also amongst everyone a vegetarian sancocho (stew) was prepared for everyone in the barrio while the wall was being done there was also a Plan colombia story telling, folks from the groups Prensa Rural, Revista Sur System and Radio Miseria gave a panel discussion about alternative media and the final talk was from a member of the Conscientious Objectors about the effects of mega projects within the Colombian territory. The last part of the day were two musical groups, first the hip-hop group Empírico Guerrero and finishing the day with rock n roll group Los Parias.

The last event of the festival took place in the Casa Cultural of the barrio Arabia in Ciudad Bolívar. From the start, the only thing that lasted all day long and was a total hit without a doubt was the marathon silk screening session the folks from Boikot did for all the folks who came out wanting to get their clothes decorated. In this event the same story teller from Señal Viva at the Botanical Garden with a creation story and some others from the Embera and the Choco. Also different documentaries were projected, there was a tango performance, two theatre pieces (one by Artífice Inimaginable and the other from the group from the Casa Cultural), the barrio’s break dance group, Lateral Break, and various hip hop groups in particular Rap Judesco and Masaiban-Go Cultura. All the groups were really good thought but in particular the two theatre groups and the break dance group were impressive. The theatre group from the barrio did a piece based on the theme of the song by Amparo Ochoa, Maldición de Malinche and the piece from Artífice Inimaginable was heavy and about disappeared people and ended with the Rubén Blades song, Desaparecidos. This day also happened to be one with a lot of sun and a large amount of folks from the barrio came out to participate, especially a lot of lil kids that stayed late for the last rap groups and to get the last silk screen designs on their clothes.
