La Escuela de Arte y Desarrollo Humana Mario Gonzalez, es una fundación localizada en el Municipio de Piedecuesta en la rea metropolitana de Bucaramanga. La escuela trabaja principalmente con mujeres y jóvenes de la zona urbana y las veredas del municipio en las áreas de teatro, poesía, pintura, escultura y en particular promoviendo y educando sobre la agricultura orgánica. Dos días antes del evento que realizamos en la casa de la Escuela, dos hombres fueron vistos dejando un paquete que al rato exploto destruyendo una de las entradas de la casa. Sin embarg
o de esta amenaza cobarde el día del evento muchas personas de salieron a apoyar y el espacio y participar en los eventos que incluyeron la muestra de Islas de Flores, una ceremonia de intercambiar y sembrar semillas, un performance por unos malabaristas y un cuentero y terminando con el cuenta cuentos de Plan Colombia. Fue un placer poder cruz polinizar con las compañeras de la escuela y un honor en poder aportar la narración gráfica como evento en su casa para la comunidad de Piedecuesta.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------The School, Escuela de Arte y Desarrollo Humana Mario Gonzalez, is a foundation located in the Municipality of Piedecuestas en the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga. The school primarily works with women and youth from the urban center as well as rural foot hills of the municipality in areas such as theatre, poetry, painting, sculpture and in particular promoting and teaching organic farming. Two days before the event we hosted in the School´s house, two men were seen leaving a package that promptly exploded destroy
ing one of the two entrances of the house. Regardless of this cowardly threat, the day of the event many people came out to support the space and participate in the day´s events which included a showing of the film "Island of Flowers", a seed exchanging and planting ceremony, a performance by a juggler troupe with a story teller and ending with the Plan Colombia story telling. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to cross pollinate with the compañeras from the School and an honor to be able to contribute the visual narration as an event in the house for the Piedecuesta community.
