Mientras que estuvimos en Medellín para la apertura de
Contraexpediciones tuvimos una noche grata y conocer y compartir con los y las
integrantes de la Red Artística Popular R.A.P. - Cultura y Libertad.
Desde el año 2007 un grupo de jóvenes de diferentes comunas
de Medellín y del Valle de Aburra, vienen aunando esfuerzos para la
construcción colectiva de la propuesta denominada Cultura Y Libertad, que a
través del arte y el movimiento Hip-Hop genera alternativas frente a la guerra,
constituya espacios de solidaridad y encuentro entre hermanos de barriada,
propicie escenarios de formación para niños-as y jóvenes y dinamice el
movimiento cultural juvenil en la ciudad. 
Por un par de horas pudimos conocer experiencias y compartir Mesoamérica
Resiste. Fue un
intercambio placentero para todxs y esperamos que cuándo podemos regresar a
Medellín nos queda la invitación pendiente para seguir polinizando, conociendo
y compartiendo con personas de otras comunas que también conforman parte de
Cultura y Libertad.

While we
were in Medellin for the opening of the Contraexpediciones we were able to
share a enjoyable night with the members of the Popular Artist Network (Red Artística Popular- Cultura y Libertad).
Since the
year 2007 a group of youth from different comunas
of Medellin and the Aburra Valley, have been joining forces to build a
collective effort known as Cultura y Libertad. Through art and the Hip-Hop
Movement they generate alternatives to war, create spaces of solidarity and
sharing amongst different neighborhoods, host skills building spaces for
children and youth and help contribute to the dynamics of the cultural youth
movement in the city. 
For some
hours we were able to share experiences and the Mesoamérica Resiste graphic. It was a pleasant exchange for everyone and we look forward to
being able to return to Medellin and continue to pollinate, getting to know and
sharing with folks from other comunas
that are also part of Cultura y Libertad.
